As a UMS customer you will benefit from the first insurance cover of its kind in Switzerland by selecting a potential subtenant referred by us.

And the best part of it is, UMS insurance with Zurich Insurance Company Ltd is free of charge for you and your subtenants! UMS will cover all costs associated with the insurance.

If worst comes to worst

UMS insurance is a so-called subsidiary insurance. It is implemented if the subtenant does not pay for damages himself or if the damages are not covered by an existing insurance.

IMPORTANT: We are not liable ourselves for damages caused by a subtenant referred by us. Instead, we ensure that all subtenants who were referred by us are covered by liability insurance (either by their own insurance or by UMS insurance).

Its cover extends to risks as follows:

• Damage to the rental premises of up to CHF 5 million per event
• Damage to movable rental property of up to CHF 10,000 per lease contract

Your deductible is CHF 500 per event.

Like all insurances, UMS insurance adheres to the usual conditions and liability limits. No insurance will cover damages caused by intention or by illegal actions.

Important requirement for the insurance validity

The insurance cover shall commence upon the rental payment - so, only transfer the property when you have actually received the payment of the rent!
