Notify us of the party with whom you have signed a (sub)lease contract, and you will benefit from the first insurance cover of its kind in Switzerland by selecting a potential tenant referred by us.

And the best part of it is, UMS insurance with Zurich Insurance Company Ltd is free of charge for you and your tenants! UMS will cover all costs associated with the insurance.

Its cover extends to risks as follows:

• Damage to the rental premises of up to CHF 5 million per event
• Damage to movable rental property of up to CHF 10,000 per lease contract
• Loss of rental income up to a maximum of three months' rent per lease contract

Your deductible is CHF 500 per event.

UMS insurance covers rental premises brokered by UMS, leased from 1 March 2009 and located in Switzerland.

Important requirements

• The signing of a lease contract or an extension of an existing lease contract was declared to UMS within 10 days of the tenant moving in or within 10 days of the commencement of the extension.
• The insurance cover shall commence upon the first rental payment and continue for the duration of the lease as declared to UMS for a maximum period of 18 months. So, only hand over the object when you have actually received the payment of the first rent!
