We are proud to be a company where apprentices are being trained.
Selene is in the third year of her apprenticeship and loves foreign languages, especially French and English. She has the opportunity to use her languages every day while speaking to our customers.
Like all of us, Selene has direct contact with customers, which she really enjoys.
In her free time, she likes to draw, plays bass guitar and can often be found at festivals and concerts.
Kiné is also in her third year. She has a talent for languages and even grew up bilingual.
She loves being able to help our customers, even with more complicated questions.
In her free time, she enjoys ballet dancing and spending time with her friends.
Marija began working in business administration in Nidwalden before moving to Romandy for love.
She won an award for her ‘the customer is king’ attitude from her former employer, and today, she makes UMS customers feel like royalty.
Marija speaks what seems like 1,000 languages and loves interacting with people – whether at work or at the laser tag arena.
Marc loves the variety in the housing placement business, as well as our vibrant, multilingual environment. In his previous position as an HR consultant, he was fascinated by the commercial and human aspects of the job – something you quickly realise when you start talking to him.
A former BSC Young Boys player, he continues to engage in a lot of sport, and also likes to write in his free time.
When it comes to temporary apartments and flat shares, Julia is our expert in Vienna. She worked for the Odyssee agency for nearly 20 years.
After leaving that agency, she was unable to stay away from temporary housing, and we are thrilled that she decided to join our tempoFLAT team. Now she is helping spread the word about our portal tempoFLAT in Vienna.
Head of apprenticeship training
Marisa was our very first apprentice and we're happy that she's still with us. She will soon be celebrating her 10-year anniversary at UMS.
She enjoys action – and not only within the office walls - Marisa is very athletic and played defence for the Swiss National League Group B for many years.
For Fabienne, people and their homes are always the number one priority. She enjoys the fact that no working day is the same and savors the personal contact with our customers.
Fabienne likes to spend her free time with her godchildren, going horseback riding and enjoying good food.
'You need to like people' – this sums up Anita’s work. With a background in the hotel industry, she is now bringing her people skills to our team and is passionate about bringing together the right providers and property-seekers.
She uses her knowledge of French and English with charming professionalism.
Head of operations
Tanja organises, advises, clarifies things and almost always finds a solution.
She is passionate about real estate and has always been fascinated by architecture.
On the rare occasions when Tanja can't be reached, she is travelling around the world and gaining experience as a sub-letter.
Anna's business degree programme brought her to Switzerland. Since the beginning of 2018, she has been helping us out once or twice a week alongside her studies. As a result, she gains insight into the day-to-day activities of the company and supports both our Swiss and German customers.
Anna is usually in a good mood – but watch out: when she isn't studying or working, she's practising taekwondo...
Laura is also studying business and is part of our administration team, but helps increasingly with customer support. She enjoys gaining insights into the practical side of things and the change from her day-to-day life as a student.
She spends every minute of her free time with her horse Casimir, and the pair train together in show jumping.
Daniel rejoined us in 2012 as partner and head of IT. He developed our first IT platform more than 20 years ago as an IT student.
Since then, he has worked as a developer, project manager and consultant for international firms, and as a result has on many occasions searched for a short let to call home.
Nik has founded UMS in 1992 during his studies of national economics.
He then worked for Coca-Cola as Head of Key Account Management before heading back home to UMS 10 years later.
And when he isn't working at UMS, he keeps his three boys busy or is it vice-versa?
